2017 Year in Review

Last year was a good year for Pineapples. We had over 400 runners participating. A band (mile Post 6) that rocked the Luau and a Volunteer staff (Pineapple Patrol) that kept the event on task. Our sponsors were amazing and at the end of the day we raised over $34,000 to show for it. We had Fun, we got Dirty and we raised money to Beat cancer.

Team ‘N Pineapulu Mana grabbed first place. Our individual winner was ‘Gavin Retired Lawyer’. And to wrap up the race results our ‘Crushed Pineapple’ went to team Alexander. Our Pineapple Prince, Nicholas Sosko, assisted in presenting the awards but only after participating in the race himself. However the award of the event goes to ‘Team Jen’s Brigade’. Their team raised just over $2,000 in donations to take home the ‘Gold Pineapple’ award.

And as everyone  knows nothing goes anywhere without the efforts of a tireless Committee. From planning, setup, registration and clean up our Committee got it done.

Many, many thanks to all but our work is not done fighting cancer.
